ACCESS STATEMENT

INTRODUCTION

The following statement is a summary of our facilities. If you have any specific questions please feel free to call us and we will endeavour to help.

TRANSPORT FACILITIES

Wareham Station is situated approximately 5 minutes’ walk from the Guesthouse, with a regular train service from Poole, Bournemouth, Weymouth and London Waterloo. There is a bus service which services local towns and villages situated just outside the station.

There are a number of local taxi services if required, we are happy to make bookings for our guests.

We have a website and can be contacted by email, landline telephone or mobile.

ENTRANCES

We have a gravel driveway with 2 double gates, which are permanently open, with parking for 7 cars. There are 4 steps (13 cm, 19cm, 13cm and 19cm respectively) up to the front entrance door (73 cm wide) and a gravel path (79 cm wide) leading to a side entrance. There are 3 steps leading to the side entrance (17cm, 20cm and 20cm) and a door step 7cm high leading to the side door (68 cm wide). The front door is a self-locking system and all guests are issued with keys to regain access, the side entrance has a Yale locking system, guests are issued with a Yale key to gain access.

PUBLIC AREAS

All guest accommodation is situated on the ground floor. 2 guestrooms (numbered 1 and 2) are accessed through the front entrance door via a hallway (70 cm wide at narrowest) and 2 other guestrooms (3 and 4) are accessed through the side entrance via a passageway (120 cm wide). The Dining Room is situated in between these 2 hallways overlooking the rear garden. All bedrooms are en suite or with private bathroom but there is no public WC available.

Dining Room: Breakfast is served in the Dining Room, the doorway from Bedrooms 1 and 2 is 75 cm wide and the doorway from Bedrooms 3 and 4 is 62 cm wide. We have one large table to seat 6 guests (clearance of 60 cm) and 2 small tables to seat 2 people on each (70 cm clearance). There are 10 dining chairs without arms.

Bedroom 1: A standard double room with a 4’6” bed (65 cm high) with en suite shower and toilet. Door to the en suite is 74 cm, entrance door to the shower is 33 cm and the step is 31cm. The narrowest route is 50cm.

Bedroom 2: A large double room with a 5’0” kingsize bed (65 cm high) with en suite shower and toilet, door to the en suite is 72 cm, entrance door to the shower is 48 cm with a step of 14 cm. The narrowest route is 125 cm.

Bedroom 3: A large triple room with a 4’6” double bed and a 3’0” single bed, an additional 2’6” bed is available if required. A separate private bathroom is situated 120 cm from the bedroom door with shower door 38 cm wide and a step into the shower of 27 cm. The narrowest route is 125 cm.

Bedroom 4: A twin room with 2 x 3’0” beds and en suite shower and toilet. The shower entrance is 61 cm with a step of 40 cm (a footstand is available if required). The narrowest route is 56 cm.

Laundry: Not available

Leisure Facilities: Not available

Outdoor Facilities: We have large gardens with a pond, lawns, flower borders and shrubs. There is a main outside patio area entered via double doors from the Dining Room with patio furniture and electric patio heaters. There are 2 x 15cm steps onto a flat garden and 2 other seating areas, all of which are available for guests’ use.

We are a ‘No Smoking’ facility but smoking is allowed in the back garden under an awning or outside the front door under a canopy, ash trays are provided in both areas.

FIRE REGULATIONS

The house is covered by full Fire Regulations in accordance with Fire Department regulations (Council reference no. FPO/0080/2004).

In the case of evacuation,we can use the front, side and patio doors and the windows are adapted for easy evacuation purposes. A fire alarm will ring if evacuation is needed. If you require more assistance for evacuating please notify us on arrival and we will ensure you are evacuated safely.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

* Mobile phone reception is generally good.

* We have internet wireless connection.

* We can supply a small drinks fridge in the bedrooms which can be used for medication/food, but we can put larger items in our main fridge on request (not available 24 hours).

* We are open all year, except Christmas and New Year.
